DeXL Partners with SCNM for Online Master of Science in Nutrition Degree Programs

Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences (SCNM) and Dynamic Experiential Learning (DeXL) announce a new partnership to transform the learning experience within SCNM’s two online Master of Science in Nutrition degree programs.

“This is a perfect time for online learning in higher education, as students are demanding a better online learning experience,” said President and CEO of DeXL, Eric Evans. “SCNM and DeXL will work together to elevate the traditional online graduate-level experience and deliver programs that are uniquely positioned.”

DeXL’s learning experience engine is grounded in science-based learning approaches and enhances SCNM’s experience and innovative track record for advancing healthcare education. The partnership will significantly enhance student learning and engagement in SCNM’s two online graduate programs—Master of Science in Nutrition Business Leadership and Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition.

Key benefits of the programs include adaptive learning content that complements the busy lives of graduate students. Using the latest device-responsive educational technology, this innovative educational model will enable students to learn on the go and access content 24/7.

These programs also incorporate experiential applied learning activities to help foster authentic engagement among students to assist them with tackling real-life practical situations within clinical practice and the natural products industry. Other learning experiences include face-to-face events, competency/skill progression tracking, professional portfolio development, and personalized student support services.

The programs foster the development of a professional community of practitioners and support systems among students and graduates that will provide a strong sense of belonging and a lifelong professional network.

“We selected DeXL as our partner because of their research-based learning model, professional expertise, and their innovative approaches to online education,” said SCNM’s VP of Academic Affairs, Dr. Garrett Thompson. “We look forward to working together to bring two truly distinctive programs to market that are aligned with our mission to make a difference in people’s lives.”
